Job Description One of the largest digital software and services companies is hiring a Philadelphia-based Senior Engineer that will be developing various applications in Java and Spring. They are looking for a Senior-Level Engineer that has experience also working with Microservices. This is a cloud-based environment so any experience with cloud infrastructure will be helpful. This is a 100% remote role and while it will start as a contract position, will be a six-month contract-to-hire prior to conversion. As they provide software for various telecom and communications companies across the globe, any telecom industry experience will be highly valued. This is a well-respected company and will add marketability to any resume. With their digital services provided across multiple industries, technology is at the forefront of their spend, meaning innovation is inevitable. You will be working with new technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, ELK, Kafka, and Cassandra. You will also be working end to end from design to production support and with development, DevOps, and Big Data responsibilities. This type of role will make sure you are always finding challenges at work and developing your skillset. Required Skills & Experience

  • Senior-level experience with Java development
  • Experience with Microservices
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Development
  • Excellent communication and passion for technology
Desired Skills & Experience
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with CI/CD technologies like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Scripting experience with Shell, Perl, etc.
  • Experience supporting real-time applications using Kafka, etc.
  • Experience supporting 24x7 environments
  • Experience with C-language development

  • Competitive Pay: Up to $60/hour, DOE
