Director of Infrastructure Operations This company is looking for a Director of Infrastructure Operations to join our team to drive the operations of our mission critical infrastructure systems and help grow a high performing technical team. This role will be responsible for leading the day-to-day activities to manage and automate our private and public cloud infrastructure. The qualified candidate will have experience leading teams, defining system and network architectures, and managing data center operations. They are looking for someone with Data Center experience (Linux environment), VMware, Networking, physical server, some cloud, and any leadership or management experience is a big plus! This position will remain to local candidates who are located in the DC Metro Area.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • As a member of the leadership team, apply your knowledge and experience to guide the technical architecture and implementation of the TMT hybrid cloud strategy.
  • Manage the System Administration and Data Center operations of our private cloud.
  • Manage vendor relationships with our data center and technology partners.
  • Grow and manage a team of system administrators, data center technicians, system & network engineers.
  • Provide technical expertise and hands-on contributions when required to consistently improve the reliability and uptime of our systems.
  • Ensure security and compliance programs are implemented and maintained effectively.
  • Ensure operational coverage and escalations for the 24/7 operations of our critical systems.

Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering or similar discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years' experience in a similar role in the technology industry
  • Proven operations leadership with directly relevant experience in managing 24/7, high availability, complex infrastructure and operations found in data centers, manufacturing, logistics, or similar industries.
  • Track record of successfully scaling facilities, processes, and teams, and driving operations consistency across distributed facilities.
  • Demonstrable ability to hire, develop, and manage high-performing teams.
  • Experience developing and managing capital and operating expense budgets.
  • Experience with Linux systems, network devices, firewalls and load balancers.

The Pay: Competitive Salary- Up to 160k DOE Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis now and in the future. This position doesn't provide sponsorship.
