Big Data Engineer

An established tech-focused monitor of the US financial system for irregularities and fraudulent actives is looking for a Big Data Engineer to join their team on contract. Their entire process is automated, and they are currently working on new project to input billions of records a day from data collected from brokers, exchanges and the SEC. They are based out of Rockville, Maryland - but are currently remote. They are dedicated to protecting investors and safeguard integrity to facility vibrant capital markets. A trustful government-authorized not-for-profit organization oversee over 624,000 brokers across the country. They are currently looking for someone wo can provide system analysis expertise with big data meets the business community it serves. To succeed in this position, you will need experience with SQL, Python, Scala, and Spark.

• 3+ years of experience working with Big Data
• SQL, Python / Scala, and Spark.
• Demonstrated end-to-end leadership on complex projects

• Experience with cloud based Big Data technologies
• Strong understanding of statistics / finance
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Demonstrated technical expertise and database technologies
