DefenseThe Defense group supports the Department of Defense (DoD) mission to keep our homeland and its citizens safe. We provide solutions to improve the Nation's defense by providing software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics and fleet management solutions.

ResponsibilitiesJoin our team in Santa Clara!Peraton is seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to support the Peraton Team on the Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) program, part of the Navys Tomahawk Missile program.Peraton develops several TMPC applications, providing support for tactical and training operations. Functions provided by these applications include: mission planning; data distribution; strike planning, rehearsal, and coordination; strike execution, monitoring, and control; strike reporting; and communications configuration and data management/delivery.The primary focus of your role on our DevSecOps team will be to develop, optimize and maintain mission critical tools for the TMPC team. Using the tools that you and your team develop and manage, you will support all phases of the software development life-cycle. This will include continuous integration, automated testing, static code analysis, production deployment, and ensuring that our applications are fully patched and secure.

Qualifications Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.The ideal candidate will have:
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining Microsoft operating systems, both as part of a workgroup and a domain
  • Demonstrated scripting experience in PowerShell and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining RedHat operating systems, both as an operating system and as a hypervisor
  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree and 5-10 years of experience in DevSecOps or similar technologies
  • Must be a US Citizenand either currently have or be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
The following knowledge and experience are a plus:
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure DevOps (TFS)
  • Familiarity working in an Agile development environment adhering to DevSecOps principals
  • Experience with containers, preferably Docker
  • Experience with Infrastructure as code, preferably Ansible
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one
