Lead Cloud Engineer, 100% Remote (US)

A large insurance company is looking for a 100% remote (within US) Lead Cloud Engineer and is offering up to $220,000. This engineer is someone with a start-up leadership mentality who can help build out their Google Cloud Platform environment, and can bring in DevOps best practices. Someone who works heavily with Terraform, is skilled with container orchestration (GKE, EKS, etc.), and is strong with at least one major scripting/programming language (Python, Golang, Java, etc.) who would like to lead Google Cloud architecture projects will fit in perfectly here. Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience
• Public cloud (Google Cloud Platform pref., open to AWS and Azure)
• Cluster deployment and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform pref., open to Cloudformation)
• Scripting/programming (Python, Golang, Java, etc.)
• Strong understanding of or hands-on with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, CircleCI, GithubActions, etc.)

• 2-3+ years of Google Cloud Platform architecture
• Transactional database systems (MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, etc.)
• Monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Datadog, etc.)
• IAM (Active Directory, Okta, etc.)
• Networking knowledge
