Summary of Role\: GlobalFoundries Fab 8 is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technician to be a part of the Yield Engineering team engaged in advanced technology at GlobalFoundries' state of the art 300mm wafer fab located in Malta, New York. As a technician, you will be responsible for ensuring production hardware meets customer expectations and assisting engineering in research and development. Yield Engineering Technicians are multifunctional unit that contribute to the ET Characterization team, Production Engineering team, Process Integration, and the BTF Line Control team. Technician positions are hourly shift positions primarily working a compressed week of 12-hour shifts. GlobalFoundries is a 24/7 manufacturing facility providing technician support across all shifts. Essential Responsibilities Include\:
- Monitor inline charts for shifts and trends
- Review wafer charts for signatures
- Disposition lot holds and engineering requests as needed
- Work closely with teams in Dresden and Bangalore
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
- Fluent in English Language - (Written and Verbal)
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work on a twelve hour per day shift
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work under pressure in high-speed environment independently and with others
- Ability to communicate with others at all organizational levels
- Associate degree in technical field
- Two-year experience working in semiconductor manufacturing
- Background in coding or scripting
- Knowledge of SPC
