A bit about us:We provide custom products, services, and systems in the steel, aluminum, process heating, and metals industries. The Controls Engineer is responsible for processing the electrical and controls portion of orders. The engineer specifies material for procurement, designs equipment as required, and determines the applicability of existing designs to the customer order.

Job Details
  • Design combustion control systems.
  • Integrate written and verbal communications to various departments inside and outside to engineering to ensure technical specifications are met. PLC Programming experience is a must.
  • Design and check Control Panel drawings to ensure that the equipment will meet its functional requirements.
  • Determine suitability of instrumentation and controls equipment not manufactured for its intended purpose.
  • Provide timely technical assistance and solutions to the team
  • Able to design Panels and Control Systems for custom applications with direction from Controls Engineer II or higher.
  • Create and check Electrical Schematics under the general direction of Engineer II or higher.
  • Create Ack-ESR documents for orders.
  • Write specifications and obtain quotations for instrumentation and electrical equipment.
  • Create functional descriptions of combustion control systems.
