A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking a Radar Test Engineer to join our team in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. This position performs project specialized system testing on highly technical complex equipment in support of the Air Surveillance Radar 9 (ASR-9) Service Life Extension Program (SLEP).

Essential Job Functions:
  • Design test plans, procedures and analysis of documented user requirements.
  • Perform all aspects of system verification, including all phases of the testing process.
  • Evaluates test plans/procedures for operational testing during development.
  • Ensure all test design documentation is accurately supported according to agency/industry standards, timelines and budget.
  • Provide expertise in real-time installation, testing, configuring, and interfacing of equipment, systems, and surveillance products.
  • Troubleshoot, analyze and determine operational issues and recommend solutions and test solutions are fully supported by test results.
  • Analyze and recommend test and evaluation approaches.
  • Actively participate and direct risk management of user requirement analysis, test design and tool selection.
  • Generate installation and test procedures for system modification and verification.
  • Develop and execute test plan and procedures in an operational environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to rapidly develop positive customer and team relationships.
  • Commitment to travel for installations and/or technical support if needed.

Other Job Functions:
  • Produce test reports, remediation plans, and special reports as required.
  • Responsible for implementation, integration, and system maintenance of computer hardware and software equipment located at operational ATC facilities.
  • Work collaboratively with a team or as an individual on each assigned project to meet deliveries and deliverables.
  • Attend and may lead meetings, design reviews, working group and briefings.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to gain knowledge of FAA Orders and Regulations regarding ASR-9 Radar and NAS.
  • Extensive database experience (i.e., hardware, software, network experience) with thorough knowledge of software and hardware development lifecycles.
  • Knowledge of test equipment including oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, logic analyzer.
  • Proficiency in network infrastructure.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain Government clearance.

Education:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with 5 years of related work experience in the specific engineering principle OR
  • Master's degree in Engineering with 3 years related work experience in the specific engineering principle.
