This position is for the messaging and integration team in the infrastructure department. The core responsibilities of the team are to engineer new features for integration platforms like IBM MQ, Mule, Kafka, DataPower, API gateways. We willing to share knowledge and lend a helping hand, as long as you are willing to take ownership of the outlined goals and make things happen.Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Strong knowledge and working experience on Kafka and AWS MSK.
  • Strong knowledge and administration experience on distributed (Linux, Unix) OS
  • Must have working experience Terraform/Ansible, python, Ansible, bash.
  • Strong knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment practices pipelines to eliminate manual processes and ensure software design and release quality (ex: GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Experience with Kafka Streams and event driven systems.
  • Experience with popular monitoring/logging technologies such as ELK, Splunk or Dynatrace
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience 1-3 years
  • 1-3 years of professional IT experience with at least one OS/hosting platform (i.e. Linux, CentOS)
Good to have:
  • Experience/Effective using standard AWS services (VPC, Security Groups, EC2, storage, database, support)
  • Experience with container services (i.e. Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Solid understanding of networking and security concepts.
Cumulative of prior level plus following:
  • Develop, maintain and complete disaster recovery / redundancy strategies.
  • Subject Matter Expert of one or more technology Domains
  • Partnering with vendors and enterprise teams on emerging standard methodologies, patterns and technology.
  • Proactively learn emerging platforms and related technology.
  • Ability to solve complex technical issues and enable/teach peers to be self sufficient.
  • Establish and maintain standard methodologies as it relates to compliance, security, privacy and legal requirements.
  • Anticipate deviations from standard practices and find practical ways to move forward.
  • Closely follow industry trends relevant to your domain and understand how to apply them to your work as appropriate.
  • Break down complex problems into smaller, more manageable ones, and help others to do the same.
  • Understand what tools are available and useful for your domain, how they work, and the sorts of situations and problems for which they're useful. Use them effectively and teach them to your teammates.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years professional experience
