The Aerial ISR (AISR) Aviation Capability Support Specialist will perform capability development and integration functions for the Army Capability Manager for Intelligence Sensors (ACM IS) manned AISR capabilities systems. This includes supporting the development, staffing, and publishing of the manned AISR JCIDS capabilities for numerous capabilities to include Airborne Reconnaissance Low-Enhanced (ARL-E), Enhanced Medium Altitude Reconnaissance Surveillance System (EMARSS), Guardrail Common Sensor (GRCS), and the High Accuracy Detection Exploitation System (HADES). Primary duties will include:

  • Provide maintenance, acquisition management, fielding, sustainment, testing, and modernization advice and support for manned AISR systems.
  • Provide support to rated and non-rated crewmember training and training development for manned AISR systems.
  • Provide support to senior Army staff and national agencies on operational and technical requirements and integration of the various AISR manned platforms with future collection capabilities.
  • Update requirements documentation to include Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Operational View/Systems View (OV/SV) documents, Capability Development Document (CDD), and Abbreviated-Capability Development Document (A-CDD)
  • Conduct both open source and classified research of threat capabilities and evaluate their impact on Army aircraft and their sensor performance
  • Represent the ACM IS manned section at critical milestone meetings
Responsibilities

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of meaningful experience working in the Aerial ISR Special Electronics Mission Aircraft (SEMA) community
  • 3-5 years of Aviation Maintenance and/or Maintenance Test Pilot experience
  • 2-3 Years of JCIDS experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Basis Of Issue Plans (BOIP) and responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of the Army's Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) concept with emphasis on Signals Intelligence (SIGINT, COMINT, ELINT) and Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) collection system capabilities in relation to Manned AISR platforms.
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems and technical documentation, including Air Worthiness Release (AWR), aircraft operator manual, Aircraft Training Manual (ATM), and checklist
  • Jet experience desired
  • Training Development Capability (TDC) experience in lesson plan development preferred

Clearance Requirement:
  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with access to Special Compartmented Information (SCI) required
