Kelly Services is currently looking for a CMM Operator to support a large Electronics Manufacturer in the Saint Petersburg, FL area.   • Interpret engineering drawings, determine program requirements and create new CMM programs based on the product priorities.
  • Must be able to perform detailed surface inspections of complex contour, bearings, bushings for finish and dimensional attributes
  • Operate CMM as needed ensuring that inspection reports meet drawing requirements.
  • Write or edit measurement programs for the CMM and other measuring instruments. (knowledge of the Hexagon instrument preferred)
  • Understand vision and touch probe measurement applications.
  • Read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure Calibration for inspection and testing equipment is compliant with scheduled due dates.
  • Perform detailed inspection on parts utilizing CMM and hand tools such as dial calipers, micrometers, etc., for dimensional attributes
  • Utilize profilometers and comparator for surface roughness
  • Maintain inspection log as part of quality records.
  • Train new CMM programmers and operators as needed.
  • Assist Quality Engineers with interpretation of measurement results and techniques.
  • Familiar with machine shop operations and dimensional support requirements.
  • Organize and assist in resolution of part, process or system constraints
  • Excellent setup skills and knowledge of best practices on CMM equipment.
  • Proficiency in PC-DMIS CMM Programming preferred.
Qualifications:
  • Previous CMM and Surface Inspections experience
  • Experience with CMM programming (familiarity with Hexagon device preferred)
  • Knowledge of Geometric and Dimensional Tolerancing
  • Strong collaborative skills with attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong organization, oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and performance metrics
