ICF is looking for an experienced Database Developer to create, test, improve, and maintain new and existing SQL databases according to the requirements set forth by our government client. Reporting support is a significant part of the work for this position, and the ideal candidate will have proven, hands-on experience creating and maintaining custom reports. To be successful, you’ll need to be a problem solver who is an analytical and critical thinker. As part of our IT team, you will work closely with the .NET developers to ensure system consistency, collaborate closely with other team members, and provide technical support to our client. Excellent communication and time-management skills are essential for being successful in this position. Key Responsibilities: Develop stable, reliable, and relevant MS SQL databases

Work with the client to document requirements for reporting and analytics

Create and maintain reports using reporting tools such as SSRS and Power BI

Document the database(s) thoroughly

Provide data management support to the government client

Ensure all databases meet security and performance requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant field

5 years of hands-on experience as a Database Developer

4 years of hands-on experience creating and maintaining reports using Power BI and SSRS reporting tools

Established work experience administrating MS SQL 2019 databases

In-depth understanding of data management (permissions, recovery, security, monitoring)

Familiarity with software development, web applications, .Net Framework, JavaScript, HTML

Experience working closely with software developers, Business Analysts, and Quality Analysts

Familiarity with the nuances of managing databases in a consolidated/hosted environment

Security Clearance :

Ability to obtain and maintain an active clearance

Self-motivated and driven to learning new technologies

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to organize and manage workload, and respond to customer, user, and ICF requests

Superior time-management skills – commitment to on-time delivery

Highly capable of working from a virtual office with limited supervision, both independently and in collaboration with a virtual project team

Excellent interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude

Ability to produce detailed, high quality work products
