Door Service Technician

We are looking for Service Technician candidates with mechanical, construction, and electrical backgrounds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Service and install commercial manual and automatic doors. Training will be provided upon hiring.

Work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, property damage and loss of materials and equipment. You will be provided ongoing safety training.

Exhibit professional appearance and conduct while providing excellent Customer Service

Detail oriented to accurately complete necessary paperwork, including work orders and door evaluations. Walk customer through services rendered on site.

Maintain and manage inventory levels of parts and equipment including power and some hand tools provided on service vehicle.

Safe place to park company vehicle when provided after initial training or personal transportation to pick up service vehicle at company warehouse.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience using hand tools and power tools.

Basic knowledge in electrical, carpentry, and general construction is beneficial.

Valid state driver license with an acceptable motor driving vehicle record.

Possess good customer communication and relationship skills; our technicians are the face of Door Remedies.

Motivation and pride in your work. Dealing with the public requires thinking on your feet and adapting to any given situation.

Capacity to work both in a team environment as well as independently.

Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull and stand for long periods of time.

Ability to safely lift and carry moderately heavy doors and door hardware.

Must be comfortable working on ladders.

Must be able to answer emergency calls on nights and weekends.
