CS CONSTRUCTION located in BEND; OREGON is one of Central Oregon’s premier commercial builders. We are a small close-knit group with big ideas who approach our business with passion, drive, and integrity. We are seeking an experienced, Full-time Superintendent, to join our fast-paced team.

The available position is specifically and only seeking any superintendent candidates with experience in Life Sciences, Medical and Biotech with a focus on laboratory, GMP manufacturing and clinical facilities. Essential/primary job duties include

  • Act as point of contact with architects, engineers, consultants, local governing officials, and customers on projects in the field.
  • Interface and work harmoniously with respective Project Managers and other CS Construction personnel.
  • Supervise the construction effort in the field to ensure that the project is completed in accordance with design, budget, schedule, and customer objectives.
  • Conduct regular on-site meetings with subcontractors, vendors, and others as appropriate with respect to schedule, safety issues, and other matters relating to performance in the field.
  • Consulting with vendors and internal project teams to resolve issues.
  • Prepare as necessary subcontractor work schedules and provide input to the Project Manager in preparing and updating Project Construction schedules to jointly ensure timely completion.
  • Assist the preconstruction project team in managing the BIM / Clash detection process to ensure highly coordinated construction documents are available at the commencement of the construction phase.
  • Specific to construction in this specialized industry candidate will assist clients as required to manage and oversee the validation and certification process.
  • Direct and manage the design, layout and construction of process systems including but not limited to: Nitrogen, Oxygen, Medical Gasses, Clean Rooms, FMS Systems, Process Waste Systems, Dust Collection, Hoods, Air Filtration / Air Quality System.

Education/Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Pharmaceutical and Commercial Construction project experience is needed.
  • Must have experience building in a sensitive technical space including clean rooms and construction adjacent to highly technical/sensitive equipment.
  • Experience working on FM Global Insured and Approved Facilities.
  • Individuals must be knowledgeable in all aspects of construction including technology, equipment, methods, field engineering, materials, safety, and scheduling.
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
  • Ability to work on site and translate and implement technical directions.
  • OSHA 30
  • Experience in a GMP Manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Certification and experience in the pharmaceutical industry such as a CPIP though the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering is a plus but will be provided if necessary.
  • Must be able to provide examples of applicable previous work.

Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
