Job Description

Support all Quality activities for SGS Brookings location by implementing, maintaining and promoting robust quality systems. Maintain current quality accreditations including; ISO 9001, ISO17025, ISTA and GMP+.

REPORTING LINE

Directly reports to the Quality and Safety Manager

JOB FUNCTIONS

· Work with employees and managers to ensure that the quality system is functioning and robust.

· Train new employees in quality and ensure on boarding documentation is completed.

· Develop, monitor, and update systems to ensure quality documentation and document control is correct and complete. Devise traceability tools and techniques so all employees can achieve quality.

· Assure continuous improvement of quality processes and corrective/preventative actions.

· Monitor and advise on the quality management system’s performance. Produce data and report on performance, measuring against set standards.

· Assure lab-based quality systems are updated in electronic files.

· Ensure quality and confidentiality of client and company information and take an active role in updating Quality System.

· Maintain quality protocols and implement preventative practices.

· Ensure compliance with the ISTA Rules and Standards.

· Maintain quality certifications (ISO 9001 – ISTA – ISO17025 – GMP+)

· Perform and schedule internal audits, organize Management Review meetings, verify Corrective Action Reports, and prepare and maintain all required documentation.

· Train organization on ISO-related documented procedures and represent company for customer quality audits.

· Perform GLP audits as requested.

· Provide support to Administration as needed.

· Track safety hours for SGS Brookings location.

Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

· Bachelors degree with at least 2 years of experience in a related field.

Preferred:

· Agricultural background.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

Language Skills: English

Mathematical Skills: Basic

Reasoning Skills/Abilities: Intermediate

Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office.

Must enjoy working with people, both internal and external clients.

Must have excellent communication skills and an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and employees.

Must be detail-oriented, well organized and able to work independently.

Must be able to attend work regularly and predictably.

Ability to handle a variety of projects effectively, efficiently and with confidentiality.

Ability to train clients on software usage.

Must be able to work in a team environment in a fast-paced environment.

Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods.

TRAVEL

No travel required.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

Work Schedule:

For Non-Exempt roles:

Business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Additional hours may be necessary occasionally based on work load.
