Job Description

  • Want to create intent-powered ideas?
  • Permanent gig
  • We’re based in Pyrmont, but we also love to work flexibly

At Performics Mercerbell we have a passion for creating intent-powered ideas. We’re a powerful new breed of agency, capable of understanding consumer mindsets, developing creative platforms, and distributing through channel brilliance. Our values are at the heart of everything we do, and we’re pretty proud of them; We give a shit, We are allies, We are unconventional and We are human.

Are you interested in the world of media? Perhaps you’re fresh out of school wondering what your first career move could like? Or even dreaming about taking your career in a new and exciting direction? Whatever your background or education, we’re open to exploring the possibilities with engaged, positive and committed humans.

This exciting role will see you supporting the wider team, learning all there is to know about performance media (that’s advertising that is tracked and evaluated based on key measurements such as clicks, impressions, sales, app downloads or email sign-ups for example). Performance media requires lots of ongoing refinement and optimisation so your role focuses on coordinating aspects of a campaign and looking at reporting and analysis across different channels such as paid search (the top adverts when you search or ranking on Google), programmatic (using automated technology for media buying) and social (the use of social media platforms in advertising).

Working as part of a large team, we might spot you:

  • Supporting our Performance Executives and Managers with simple campaign set-ups and management across paid search, social and programmatic channels
  • Running daily campaign data reports to monitor performance and flag any performance issues
  • Completing all campaign and competitive reporting
  • Ensuring all reporting/pacing/finance and administration documents are completed on time and within the relevant client deadlines, with 100% accuracy
  • Working with the team to agree on action plans, and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement

Some stuff that will help you get the job:

  • A keen interest in growing your career in media (we encourage and celebrate diversity so it doesn’t matter what you’ve done before, but more about where you want to go)
  • A natural knack with Microsoft office suite (especially Excel)
  • Interested in learning how to analyse media data, and write compelling insights
  • Enthusiastic, keen to learn, proactive, and a positive attitude
  • High attention to detail and time management as well as organisational skills
  • A people person with the ability to develop relationships with the media and clients
  • Ability to be flexible and agile to adjust to changing media landscape as well as team, media and client demands

Interested? Let us share the perks:

  • Taking time out – enjoy your Birthday off, additional 5 days leave after 2 years’ service, career breaks and an industry-leading parental leave policy with up to 18 weeks paid primary carer leave
  • Wholeself – access our EAP, flu vaccinations, PerkBox (discounts and perks) and regular seminars and events supporting your physical, mental and financial wellbeing
  • Grow & Develop – enjoy extensive L&D opportunitiesthrough our online learning platform, Marcel, a Next Gen board, SPACE (our Groupe L&D program), Buddy Up (our mentor program), education assistance and access to the MFA and ACA for industry learnings
  • Celebrate – we’re big on celebrating and shouting out about great work. We’ve got high-five awards, X-cellence awards, anniversary celebrations and referral bonuses
  • Work, your way – our Publicis Liberté flexible working approach means we value your contribution, not where you’re sitting

At Performics Mercerbell, we believe that our people are our greatest asset. Our people are chosen for their personalities, their ethics and professional qualities without any exclusion, preferential treatment or discrimination. We are proud to be an equal opportunities employer and do not discriminate by reason of age, gender, gender identity, race, sexual orientation, nationality, religion or disability or any other difference. We encourage applications from all qualified individuals and will provide appropriate assistance for candidates with disabilities or special needs throughout the recruitment process upon request.
