Job description – Construction Accounting Manager
Medium sized multi-state construction subcontractor is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager. The best candidate will be a self-starter with a confident disposition, well organized, and professional. Strong skills in Excel and using construction accounting software are required. This position would be responsible for:
-Month end accounting including Bank Recs, Month End GL Account Reconciliations, WIP, Job Cost, Cash Flow, Taxes, Insurance, and special projects.
-Contract administration and tracking.
-Job budgets and job cost analysis.
-Preliminary notices.
-Monthly AIA Billings and Collections.
-Banking deposits.
-Prepare financial reports to present to company owners using accounting software and excel spreadsheets.
-Develop and/or enhance our organization's policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
-Minimum 5 years prior experience with a commercial subcontracting firm in any construction trade.
-Strong organizational skills and able to delegate tasks to accounting staff with follow up.
-Advanced user of construction accounting software such as Sage 300, Foundation, or Computer Ease.
-Strong construction accounting background including Cost of Completion and Percentage of Completion calculations.
