The Senior Educational Consultant will be a member of the dynamic Pearson team responsible for providing support and guidance to state agencies, educator preparation programs (EPPs), and P12 partners for statewide educator licensure assessment program implementation. As an educational thought leader, the individual will contribute to the development and execution of an assessment implementation plan that represents a deep understanding of the demands for a diversified educator workforce that is inclusive of all stakeholders. This will require the individual to develop and facilitate customized presentations, in-person and virtual workshops, and extensive written response documents and formally present them to P12 educators, EPPs, state agencies, and other stakeholders in support of program implementation. The individual will also contribute to the management team supporting the assessment program by collaborating with internal functional teams responsible for assessment delivery, scoring, and reporting.Responsibilities :Develops long-term strategies for supporting state agencies, EPPs, and P12 partners in the implementation and ongoing use of large-scale assessment.

Develops and maintains strong relationships with EPPs and state agencies including state departments of education, state policy boards, and other influential constituencies.

Develops and delivers presentations to appropriate diverse educational groups.

Develops and presents in-person and virtual workshops and training sessions on the implementation and application of the program.

Provides professional development to educators to aid in the understanding of program goals, components, and resources and how each relates to EPP curricula.

Works with educators to understand assessment program outcomes and data to inform EPP curricula and continuous improvement.

Maintains regular, formal contact with state agencies and provides guidance to the client on key elements of the program.

Lead assessment updates, enhancements, and development projects, collaborating with Pearson teams and external experts; responsible for on-time and high-quality delivery of products and services.

Provides quality control and has accountability for products, processes, and project activities of state-specific program implementation.

Oversees the development of work plans to complete anticipated work, fitting in unanticipated tasks, as necessary.

Drives internal actions contributing to and collaborates with staff across internal departments in support of the operational maintenance of the program.

Participates in initiatives with influential organizations that impact policy and direction which may affect the program.

Monitors and communicates with external and internal stakeholders regarding federal and state policy trends related to educator preparation and certification.

Provides marketing support to the company through the creation of presentations, written responses to inquiries, collection of information and data, and participation in proposal development in response to requests for proposals.

Travels on behalf of Pearson to deliver presentations, facilitate professional development, and engage stakeholders.

Assumes other duties, as needed.

The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is at least 85k. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. Prior experience in education, assessment, or educator preparation is preferred.

Demonstrable experience with and knowledge of current educational issues.

Demonstrates proven success with management/supervisory experience in an educational setting.

Demonstrates knowledge of large-scale assessment programs.

Demonstrates a thorough ability and proven record of success with public presentation skills.

Excellent writing skills; technical writing experience preferred.

Ability to travel up to 75%.
