Description:Providence is calling an MRI Technologist (MRI, Night Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. Be responsible for accurately preparing and completing records, daily quality assurance logs and quality improvement data in accordance with regulatory, hospital and department standards.

Calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot MRI scanner, monitoring equipment, injector and workstation.

Effectively communicate with physicians, nurses and other members of the team concerning patient status, diagnosis, and related information.

Comply with department and hospital magnetic safety standards.

Maintain team-oriented approach to high standards of patient care and patient flow through the department. Helpful and courteous at all times with co-workers, maintaining positive relationships

Implement care/services that recognize age/diversity specific needs/issues of customers served.

Qualifications:Required qualifications for this position include:Successful completion of an AMA approved training program in a qualified diagnostic imaging modality

ARRT registry or equivalent registration, ARDMS, NMTCB, required for cross training candidates

ARRT required didactic training and passing MR registry required in 12 months from DOH for cross training candidates

One (1) year experience in diagnostic imaging.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:One(1) year MRI experience.

ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT registry
