Data Quality Analyst, Chief Data Office Whippany, NJ Barclays Services Corp. What will you be doing? Ensure execution and documentation of defined business rules and collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and Technical Leads to understand data quality issues and determine their solutions. Produce financial and market intelligence by querying data repositories and generating periodic reports. Support the Cards and Payments business by managing new and existing data domains, sub-data domains, and Critical Data Elements (CDE). Monitor the Data Governance team mailbox and respond to data requests from cross-functional teams and business leaders in line with the SLAs. Responsible for maintaining metadata related to CDE for all the Business Units. Support data governance functions for strategic data initiatives such as Cloud migration. Support the delivery of front-to-back lineage for data elements, models, and reports using Ab Initio. Collaborate with the Data Architecture team to assist with the identification and establishment of Authoritative Data Sources. Assist with the identification, assessment, and documentation of key data control and define business rules and data quality measures to monitor quality of data elements. Write SQL queries to validate data quality measures for all critical data elements and provide monthly DQ reports. Utilize data visualization tools such as QlikSense and Tableua to interpret results from complex data and identify patterns, trends, and areas to improve efficiency. Devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends in available information sources. What we’re looking for: Requires Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field plus two (2) years of experience in position offered or as a Business Analyst or related occupation. Full term (2 years) of experience must include: Using data analytics skills including SQL and Python to derive knowledge from large sets of complex data; Using data visualization tools such as QlikSense and Tableau to summarize findings in the form of graphs, charts, and tables to present it to stakeholders; Using Enterprise Data Warehouse to centralize business information from multiple sources and applications; Inferring patterns and trends in data to identify problem/improvement areas; Using ITIL practices to align IT services with the needs of the business; Creating metrics to determine success of product functionality; Reviewing outcome of analysis and viable data usage options; and Utilizing analysis to manipulate and prepare/process data for model development.
