Family Law Paralegal (Killeen, Texas)

Law firm in Killeen, Texas is seeking a family law paralegal. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year experience handing family law matters in support of one or more attorneys. Must be well organized, detail oriented, self-motivated and most importantly be a person genuinely interested in building client relationships. He/she must be willing to take high volume phone calls and communicate empathetically and efficiently with clients in crisis.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Preparing preliminary drafts of pleadings, discovery and correspondence;

- Maintain calendar, deadlines and reminders for attorney;

- Assist in scheduling and preparation for hearings, depositions and mediations;

- Be familiar with office suite including word, excel and outlook;

- Familiar with the requirements for e-filing in setting up child support in Bell and Coryell Counties.

- Perform other administrative duties such as opening and closing files, copying, scanning, shredding etc.

Qualifications:

- Minimum one year experience as a family law paralegal;

- Experience with Mycase/Clio a plus; and

- Experience with Pro Doc Form Builder a plus.
