Principal Database Administrator

A Principal Database Administrator is needed to provide day to day support in a fast paced, agile environment supporting the financial industry. This role paves the way for customer technologies, processes and stability both on and off premises.The TeamThe Web and Data Services Database services group located in the Enterprise Infrastructure Business Group has an opening for a Principal Database Administrator. The team provides all aspects of Systems DBA support for all business units in the firm. Highly complex systems and architectures are utilized to provide high performing and stable platforms for on-line transactional and very large data warehousing environments. Members of the team continually exploit new technology while providing the day to day support.The Expertise You HaveBring your Bachelors of Science degree and seasoned database administration experience.

Oracle database and database engineered systems are preferred.

Database automation, continuity, data protection and stability knowledge are preferred.

Experience with Oracle ZFS storage systems preferred.

Your communication, presentation and relationship skills will be our customers view of and into the team and it’s services.

Your top-tier Oracle database experience will be complimented by your Oracle Engineered Systems(Exadata) experience

You should be at home supporting Oracle on Linux on Virtual Machines.

You bring your tenacious attitude towards problem solving.

You should have expertise in data recovery and migration methodologies.

Your replication experiences will be utilized to support multi-site environments.

You will be providing primary database administration for business unit(s) in conjunction with a remote off-shore support staff through communication and coordination

As a team member you will provide rotational on-call support.

You will be leading both customers and teammates towards newer technologies.

You will be promoting, crafting automation for both on and off premises databases.

You will support multi-rack Oracle Exadata systems and databases.
