MB Analyst, General Accounting

Position ProfileJob Summary:This position is responsible for analyzing the different accounts in the Balance Sheet and Income Statement in order to be able to report accurate information. Responsible to maintain the GL ledger for the company.Responsible to maintain the bank transaction accounts updated daily. Responsible to consolidate information from 6 manufacturing locations and report to corporate.Organizational RelationshipThis position will report to the Sr. Finance Manager and supports our WoodCrafters division based in McAllen, TX.Duties and Responsibilities:

Identify daily activity on fixed asset accounts

Prepare analyze and record journal entries in ERP the company general ledger accounting software package

Assist with the preparation of other reports provided to management

Assist with preparation of month-end financial statements

Analyze and reconcile the balance sheet and income statement accounts

General ledger review

Consolidation of different type of information for corporate

Other responsibilities as assigned by the Finance Manager.

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Accounting preferred with 2+ years of experience in general accounting and reporting

Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Excel and Word.

Ability to quickly learn and utilize the company’s accounting and reporting system.

Must be able to learn quickly current tasks and initiative to assume new tasks

Office equipment proficiency - telephone answering fax/scan/photocopy

Professional mannerism business communication proficient with internal and external customers.

Bilingual English/Spanish

Ability to work under pressure and extended hours as projects and/or closing may require.

Detail oriented and ability to analyze financial information.

Self-motivated great attitude.
