Responsibilities:

Responsible for all student receivables ledger billing, Non-Title IV collection activities, and student account disbursement functions, including processing of student payments and refunds, and providing students and their families with customer-oriented assistance in handling their financial responsibilities to the school.

Maintains an informative, efficient, organized, and student-centric Business Office environment.

Ensures processes and procedures are followed for the accurate recording/updating of all student ledger financial records including posting ledger charges, institutional scholarships and other tuition adjustments.

Takes student payments, posts cash/credit card and bank EFT deposit transactions daily to ledgers

Prepares and balances daily bank deposit.

Reviews withdrawal/drop forms for proper approvals and processes related student credits/charges. Prepares and processes student refund checks and refund EFTs.

Analyzes past due student and third party accounts with follow up as necessary via face to face student meetings, phone calls, and written correspondence

Assists Director of Business Office in preparation of daily, month-end, and year-end reports and schedules related to Accounts Receivables, Cash Collections, Revenue and Refunds.

Provides students and their families’ customer-oriented assistance in handling their financial responsibilities to the school.

Assists Director of Business Office in processing year-end 1098-T’s

Required Knowledge, Education and Experience:

- Associate degree from a college or university in related field; or minimum one year accounting, collections or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
