Texas Health Resources Central Staffing Office - an internal staffing agency - is currently in search of a Registered Nurse with experience in the PCU setting.The address is 612 E. Lamar; Arlington, TX 76011Salary range is a set rate of $43.00/hourWork Schedule PRN, varying shifts, must have flexibility to float throughout the Metroplex to a minimum of three (3) or more entities and work at least one (1) holiday per year.As primary care giver, candidates for this position will have the opportunity to stay actively involved in the total care plan through patient and family education.Responsibilities include:Patient assessmentCreating and maintaining a sterile and safe environmentServe as patient advocateInitiate action to protect patient rights and/or preferencesAdhere to HIPAA,Adhere to Safety and Infection Control guidelinesCandidates will be expected to maintain and enhance nursing skillsQualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire Associate’s degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred; Completion of BSN within two years of earliest start date in a Texas Health RN role is required BCLS (AHA) upon hire – expiration date greater than 3 month preferred ACLS (AHA) upon hire or within 30 days prior to clinical work performed CPI training within 60 days of hire NIHSS upon hire or within 30 days prior to clinical work performed 1 Year experience within the last three years as a clinical nurse in the Progressive Care setting (PCU)Skills Computer skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must Possesses a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism. Serve as a role model, be an intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and a coordinator for quality patient care.
