job descriptionMechanical Engineerjob summary:Permanent position: A Leading Reliability Solutions provider is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Integrity Engineer for their various Refinery & Chemical plant clients' sites, multiple projects in the U.S This person will be a technical authority in all things related to Mechanical Integrity (MI), and will work closely with the Engineering team to develop novel solutions to challenging customer problems. This person will be a apart of a rapidly growing company of 900+ employees.ResponsibilitiesYou will be a technical authority in all things related to Mechanical Integrity (MI); You will work closely with the Engineering team to develop novel solutions to challenging customer problemsProvide technical oversight of MI efforts to exceed customer expectations; Formulate and solidify service offerings that bring value to company's customers;Define and interpret customer requirementsYou will help drive the closure of significant deals by providing valuable technical MI insights to customers and the Sales personnel; You will be a technical shepherd to the organization to ensure that technical Mechanical Integrity risks are properly identified and their impacts minimized; You will work alongside the Talent Evolution and Project groups to identify training gaps and develop technical content that will help to quickly expand the overall knowledge base of the organizationConsult with Sales personnel on new opportunities and help close deals; Mentor the organization and enhance existing training programs to build Mechanical Integrity competency and expertise throughout the organization;Establish yourself as the Company's Mechanical Integrity face to industry groups; steer the industry toward our Reliability Solutions offerings and help the organization to stay in front of industry changes; Provide consulting services for project kick-offs and during crucial customer meetings and reviews;Support Engineering and Project teams in the analysis and review of Company's deliverables to ensure high quality and customer confidenceBuild technical knowledge into company standards and procedures;Train and provide technical support for project teams in the theory and application of Company's suite of Reliability Solution offerings; Provide oversight and approval for technical procedures and best practices; Develop and implement solutions to gaps in industry tools and software; Serve as a mentor for Engineering and Project team members; Publish articles and present at conferences that contribute to Company's recognition as an industry expert; Guide and steward the team in the development and expansion of Company's service offeringsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or STEM fieldMUST have 10+ years of relevant industry experience; refining or chemicals plantsHands-on experience within facilities and thorough understanding of mechanical integrity, field inspection, and system reliabilityStrong understanding of the design, operation, construction, inspection, and repair practices of stationary and rotating equipmentMUST have working knowledge of inspection techniques and API, ASME, and NACE codes (i.e. API 510, 570, and 580 & AME Section VIII, Div 1)Experience with implementation of reliability programs within a refining or chemical processing facilityWillingness to travel 25-50% of the timeMaster's degree in STEM Field (Preferred)Applicable API committee or subcommittee leadership; FFS Level 3 (Preferred)BenefitsComprehensive Benefits & Competitive Salary401K matchingPTO and Paid Holidayslocation: Pasadena, Texasjob type: Permanentsalary: $130 - 150 per yeareducation: Bachelorsresponsibilities:->You will be a technical authority in all things related to Mechanical Integrity (MI); You will work closely with the Engineering team to develop novel solutions to challenging customer problemsqualifications:->Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or STEM fieldEqual Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.
