Provide leadership for key Commercial Segments (Large Employer Groups, Small Business and Individual segment) strategic initiatives. Drive successful cross-functional collaboration with other (e.g., Sales Effectiveness, Training, Product, IT, Health Care Analytics, Provider Contracting and Finance)

Assist Large Group (LG) and Commercial & Specialty Business Division (CSBD) executive leadership in assessing current environment, external factors and competitive landscape to build business cases.

Partner with Local Market leadership to identify innovative growth and efficiency opportunities to achieve performance targets

Leads the annual and strategic planning for the Commercial Segments team. Support the preparation and facilitation of planning sessions with Segment leadership, including management of the multi-year Strategic Plan process.

Assess strategic options in context of overall enterprise and CSBD strategy, financial targets, and market needs. Supports/leads any acquisition analysis and due diligence efforts.

Analyze, research and develop complex materials and presentations relating to business performance, market dynamics and general management issues.

Spearheads follow-ups from executive meetings as well as preparation for key meeting, e.g., presentation for changes and new ideas, monthly and quarterly business operating reviews etc.

Requirements

8-10 years of management experience with significant large-scale project management strategic planning, execution and/or consulting in the health care industry

Strategic thinker with broad & deep understanding of the health care industry required.

Three years Commercial Health Plan product solution experience

Three years large Employer Group Benefits background

Experience working with C Suite Executives

Ability to travel nationwide 25%

Excellent leadership, financial and analytical skills required.

MBA preferred

Prior Consulting experience within a large national firm preferred
