A place where we will challenge ourselves, our teams, and the status quo and where we will work to find a way – the right way – to achieve what others can only dream of.Role OverviewThe Collins IMS Critical Infrastructure team in Carrollton, TX is seeking a full-time Sr Software Test Automation Engineer with a passion for advanced automated software verification.The Sr Software Test Automation Engineer will be responsible for developing automated test scripts in Python using SmartBear’s TestComplete to verify functionality and capability of our Advanced Information Management (AIM) Security Computer Systems (SCS) software, including user interfaces, server applications, integrated video surveillance subsystems, integrated access control and intrusion detection subsystems, and various other software components related to the security of critical infrastructure facilities such as nuclear power plants.Primary Responsibilities:

Developing and maintaining automated software test documentation, including plans, procedures, scripts, and reports.

Executing automated software test procedures, including regression testing, functional testing, capacity testing, and performance testing.

Coordinating and maintaining the continuous integration (CI), continuous deployment (CD), and continuous test (CT) pipeline with the software development team.

Identifying and documenting software defects.

Reviewing software defect trends, identifying systemic root causes and process improvements, and recommending new approaches, tools, and techniques that drive continuous improvements in software development processes.

Participating in cross-functional project teams representing the test team.

Understanding and following all related software and systems engineering processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.'

US Citizen Required

Formal software development life cycles and processes, especially Agile Scrum principles and ceremonies – 5 years minimum

Software verification through functional, capacity, and performance testing – 5 years minimum

Continuous software integration and deployment (CI/CD) – TeamCity preferred – 3 years minimum

Creation and execution of automated test scripts using Python – 3 years minimum

Automated testing framework – SmartBear’s TestComplete preferred – 3 years minimum

Relational databases – SQL required, Oracle preferred – 3 years minimum

Verification of C# software functions and capabilities – 3 years minimum

Test case development and management with requirements traceability (e.g. IBM Rational DOORS Next Generation and IBM Rational Quality Manager)

Verification of C/C software functions and capabilities

Virtualized environments (e.g. VMware)

PowerShell scripting to deploy software to virtual machines

Familiarity with cyber security controls (e.g. endpoint protection, firewalls, intrusion detection, group policy objects)

Industry familiarity (e.g. physical security, SCADA)

Client-server application architecture

Adherence to software quality standards (e.g. ISO-9001, IEEE-730, CMMI)
