Junior Web Developer (Annapolis)

Liquified Creative is currently looking to add a Front-End Web Developer to our creative ranks. The right candidate will possess a minimum of 1-2 years of agency experience in front-end web development. The right candidate should be detail-oriented, meticulous, hard-working, and able to multi-task in order to meet essential deadlines. This is an on-site, full-time position at our Annapolis office.

Compensation based on experience. Freelancers and outsourcing agencies need not apply.

Responsibilities to include:

Work along-side our Senior Web Developer, Creative Director, and Web Team

Transform concepts and UI designs into code using PHP, HTML, and CSS

Understanding of basic web hosting server management and MySQL

Perform, maintain, and troubleshoot websites and support tickets on a daily basis

Manage and work on multiple web projects as needed

Code and test HTML e-blasts

Populate and edit website content as needed

Handle expedited requests and deadlines quickly and efficiently

Requirements:

BA/BS in Web Design and Development, Computer Science, Information Technology, Communications or related field; or equivalent experience with demonstrated proficiency

1-2 years HTML, CSS, and Web Standards/Best practices

1-2 years of experience using and coding for or with: JavaScript/jQuery, MySQL, and PHP

Experience and has an understanding of the functionality and code structure of CMS (Content Management Systems) such as WordPress, Joomla, and/or Drupal

Web Accessibility Guidelines Knowledge (or at least awareness)

Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and/or XD)

Experience using Git, Mercurial, SVN, or a similar code repository and versioning system

Ability to work independently and in a collaborative group environment

Must be able to work onsite in Annapolis

Strong writing, grammar, proofreading and communication skills

Bachelor’s or equivalent degree required

Ability to thrive in a collaborative, self-motivated, and fast-paced environment

Successful time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
