Job Summary

As a saw filer you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the circular saws that are used in the saw mill. Your work will be done predominantly in the Saw filer room, this position is very important due to the high cost of the saw blades used. They need careful maintenance to guarantee safe use of them.

Pay

$15.00/hour + Based on Experience

All production employees are eligible for an attainable incentive program, with earning capabilities of $1.00+ per hour

Schedule/Shift

Training will happen during A shift hours Monday through Thursday 6 am to 4 pm. Once trained your permanent shift will be C shift which is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6 am to 6 pm. C shift does come with $1.50/hour shift premium.

Essential Duties of the Job

Braze Tip and strobs into Circular Saws.

Level Circular Saws and Sharpen

Read Dial Indicators and Calipers

Lift up to 50-70 lbs

Able to rework circular blades, Gum gullets, and repocked.

Organize saw file room

Able to multi-task

An understanding of saw mill operations;

Able to multi-task

Have a competency in basic math skills;

Experience with using micrometers and calipers;

Be a dependable self-starter with a desire to learn

Work safely;

Be able to frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds
