The IT Services Analyst -Vendor Management will lead IT vendor management strategy, ensuring that IT vendors are delivering maximum value through their services and also reduce/manage risk and spend for GM Financial. He/she works closely with the IT Services Manager - Vendor Management to align with Global IT strategy and requirements as well as with key stakeholders including procurement and cybersecurity.JOB DUTIES

Effectively communicate a clear and concise contract overview (summary of key contract terms, risks, opportunities, and service delivery guidelines) to key stakeholders

Generate spend analysis for IT Vendor management reporting and decision making

Build out analytics and reporting capabilities

Develops vendor requirements and performance scorecards in partnership with various internal stakeholders

Partners with internal stakeholders to ensure an effective negotiating strategy is set and aligned to GM Financial policies to obtain the best overall value based on performance

Supports IT Management and IT Vendor Management teams in the development of strategies and approaches that are aligned to internal stakeholders including procurement/Cybersecurity and responsible for the execution of those strategies and delivery of savings

Develop, present and communicate regular status updates for IT Senior Management

Work with IT Vendors to deliver new ideas and innovation through IT vendor management program

Contract Develops facilitation and presentation materials that clearly communicate GM Financial objectives and expectations to IT vendors and cross-functional stakeholders

Handle large complex IT Vendor contracts in one or more IT categories, including hardware, software, services, SLAs, KPIs, and reporting

Manage and resolve vendor problems, mitigating delays, assisting with audits, mediating disputes and escalating issues

Participate in periodic status update meetings with Application Owners and other internal stakeholders

Perform other duties as assigned

Conform with all company policies and procedures

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPIT Services Manager - Vendor ManagementKnowledge

Working knowledge of SQL, Excel, Business Objects, and other related computer databases

Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices and processes

Demonstrated expertise for Vendor Management

Working knowledge of IT Vendor contract negotiations (includes NDAs, master agreements, amendments, statements of work) with a strong understanding of Vendor Management best practices

Knowledge and stay abreast on the latest security and privacy legislation, regulations, advisories, alerts and vulnerabilities

Skills

Strong track record of negotiating terms and conditions of IT contracts

Strong communicator who can explain complex concepts to both IT Management and business stakeholders in a consumable fashion

Ability to approach problems with an open-mind, use existing information and resources and create new and innovative ideas and methods

Ability to think strategically and make collaborative decisions

Communicates quickly, clearly, concisely, appropriately and intelligently

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work or military experience preferred

Master’s Degree in related field preferred

Experience

5-7 years of Information Technology experience preferred

2-3 years in Vendor Contract Negotiation preferred

2-3 years in developing IT spend analysis preferred

Working Conditions

Flexible schedule with possibility of working long hours including weekends/holidays, occasional overtime may be required

Travel will be required to support business needs #LI-TS1
