Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093Salary: Flat rate of $38.00/hourWork Schedule: Shift is 7 pm – 7 am; PRN; 72 hours per month requirement (6 shifts); weekends and holidays requiredTexas Health Seay Behavioral Health Hospital is a 50-bed freestanding behavioral health hospital in Plano, TX that offers psychiatric and addiction treatment for adults and adolescents. Texas Health Seay Behavioral Health Hospital also offers numerous outpatient programs either on site or at one of their satellite outpatient centersThe essential job duties of this position are:Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process assesses the patient plans the care of the patient intervenes as appropriate evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care. Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfersQualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications Associate's Degree Nursing required. Completion of BSN within two years of earliest start date in a Texas Health RN role is required Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred RN - Registered Nurse – required upon Hire CLIAFE - Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support – required upon Hire CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Upon Hire ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 6 Months Required Or CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training. 30 Days Required And ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 12 Months Required 1 year of experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program required RN experience in Behavioral Health/Psych preferred.Skills A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment is required.Why Texas Health ResourcesTexas Health Resources is one of the largest faith-based, nonprofit health care delivery systems in the United States and the largest in North Texas in terms of patients served.Texas Health has 25 acute-care and short-stay hospitals that are owned, operated, joint-ventured or affiliated with the system.
