Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.The Business Risk and Control team is responsible for partnering with the relevant business group to identify, assess, manage and mitigate current and emerging risk exposures associated with their activities and operations. Monitors, measures, evaluates, and reports on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group and enterprise function. Consults and provides guidance to business groups on the development, implementation, and monitoring of moderately complex business-specific programs to identify, assess, and mitigate risk. Consults and provides support in the interpretation of policy, guidelines, and governance programs as the front line liaison toIndependent Risk Management area for moderate to high risk and complexity enterprise risk programs. Provides risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes and controls that mitigate risks and address regulatory requirements. Develops and implements risk monitoring and risk reporting processes and controls. Monitors and reports on its risk concentration, current and emerging risk, and risk appetite. Aggregates, evaluates, reports results and escalates where necessary. Designs and executes control effectiveness assurance programs for Front Line-owned controls. Consults and implements initiatives with moderate to high risk. Internal interface with business regarding risk management of business-specific risk programs. Limited to no external interaction. Does not manage other team members.Responsibilities will include:

Conduct portfolio analyses on CBG customer segments to help define risk baselines and criteria to evaluate, assess and ultimately determine the risk acceptance/rejection or mitigation

Differentiation of ML/TF risk from decision-centric perspective at all stages of the CBG customer life cycle, including: (1) defining transaction patterns for "normal activity" for business sectors; and (2) activity outside or near the outer risk baseline for such business sector;

Assist making risk decisions involving a large bank customer base through use of portfolio analysis on customer segment background and transactional patterns

Using structured and unstructured data elements obtained by other teams to drive portfolio level risk decisions across CBG customer business segments

Draft report findings and recommendations to mitigate risk to management

Trusted advisor as a subject matter expert relative to financial crimes

Partner with several Wholesale financial crimes managers and their peers to evidence strong risk decisions made at the line level. This includes partnering with WFCRC TRIG, who will have the primary responsibility to retrieve and deliver data necessary to perform the above functions.

Performs substantive risk analyses to detect patterns, trends, and anomalies to define AML risk baselines

Collaborate with geographic-oriented peers to help to evaluate and enhance CBG customer risk decisions

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following, and adhering to and if applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite, and all risk and compliance program requirements.Please note: Other work locations within the Wells Fargo footprint may be considered.Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 5+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 3+ years must include direct experience in risk management

Desired Qualifications:

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills

Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) experience
