Job Title: Director, High Reliability

Reports To: Regional Vice President

Employment Status: Full Time

SUMMARY:

Readiness Rounds provides acute care hospitals with a High Reliability performance improvement solution.

Readiness Rounds is focused on helping hospitals make significant and sustainable performance improvement in patient safety, quality of care and experience on the path to high reliability.

Director is the primary on-site contact for client and manages all of their service needs.

Director is accountable for working with client to ensure objectives, benchmarks, guarantees, and

deliverables are achieved.

This position is a dedicated, on-site position.

Periodically there may be requirements to support other locations requiring travel within the New York area

and the corporate office in Kansas.

Proficient with multiple technologies for working in a mobile environment and maximizing organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary focus of assisting client with utilizing Readiness Rounds data to the fullest potential so they can meet

their objectives.

Responsible for fully implementing and sustaining the Readiness Rounds High Reliability process throughout

the hospital.

Carries out key tasks, timelines, milestones, stakeholder and team member identification, and resource

requirements.

Leads the utilization of established checklists, including facilitating meetings, building and maintaining

effective team and client relationships, monitoring progress, resolving barriers or problems.

Presents progress and findings to multiple audiences, including managers and organizational leadership.

Drives Performance Improvement Initiatives throughout client organization.

Collaborates with other Readiness Rounds personnel to improve and support the organization's development

of its performance improvement capabilities.

Must be able to travel to Corporate office and within East Coast Territory Region as needed.

COMPENTENCY: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies.

Exceptional Customer Service skills.

Understanding of hospital processes and systems.

Understanding of performance improvement concepts and the application of data to support.

Ability to apply logical improvement processes to a wide variety of hospital settings.

Effectively manage several, multi layered Projects to conclusion.

Ability to operate various work-processing systems, project management software, spreadsheet software, and

database programs.

High level of competence in Microsoft Outlook/Excel/Word/PowerPoint.

Adept at working with wireless devices, connecting to Wi-Fi networks, etc.

Maintain confidentiality.

Communicate efficiently and effectively both verbally and in writing.

Follow instructions furnished in verbal or written format.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

The ability to organize and manage a wide variety of task and activities in a logical manner is a critical

qualification for this position.

Interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds.

The education and experience requirements listed below are representative of this position’s requirements.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Hospital experience or a combination of education, training, and experience which provides the desired

knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the position’s essential duties and responsibilities.

Competencies in Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point.

Must be Certified Joint Commission Professional (CJCP) /Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality

( CPHQ) certified or obtain within 18 months of hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Two years work experience in a closely related position.
