Description:

This is a new position that we are looking to fill, where the primary focus will be to work with our existing team of 10 plumbing service technicians and help develop their individual sales skillsets so that they can better serve our customers. The Plumbing Sales Manager will report directly to the Service Manager and be responsible for assessing each of the technicians' jobs, identifying possible missed opportunities and coaching them accordingly on how to improve their overall performance metrics. Ideally, this position will be composed of 60% office time/40% travel time; riding with the technicians on calls, assisting them with their proposals and when needed, explaining to the customer why the minimum or "band-aid" solution may not be the best long-term solution/investment for them. We feel that there is considerable room for growth in this department and are seeking out candidates that have the ideal blend of both plumbing field experience and sales management background to maximize it's potential.

Qualifications:

-10+ years of plumbing experience with a thorough knowledge of water heaters and water conditioning systems

-Excellent leadership skills with the ability to constructively coach and motivate diverse personalities on a daily basis; preferably someone who has successfully served in a similar role prior

-Must have exceptional problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail

-Outstanding organizational, analytical and decision-making abilities

-Be very customer service driven with outstanding follow-through

-Must possess strong communication skill-sets, both verbally and via email

-Proficiency of Microsoft Windows and the ability to use a computer with minimal assistance is required

-Maintain a consistently clean and professional appearance

-Must have a valid NYS drivers license
