Bartender

Responsible for positive guest interactions while accurately preparing and responsibility serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner. Follows standard recipes, mixes ingredients and prepares cocktails and other drinks. Offers and serves food items to guests, collects payment for drinks served and maintains bar area clean, sanitary and organized.

Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, preparing them efficiently, and building a rapport with clientele

Clean the bar and the surrounding area of spills and other messes as needed

Qualifications

· Minimum 1 year experience in bartending preferred

· Previous experience with Japanese cuisine, particularly sushi and sake a plus

· Must be certified in Responsible Alcohol Service by applicable agency

· Must be 21 years of age or older

· Must have a High School diploma or GED. College course work and/or degree highly desirable

· Must be eligible to work in the United States

Must have a clean, professional appearance with excellent grooming habits. Must be able to bend and lift 50lbs

Server

Responsible for interacting with our guests and ensuring they have an excellent dining experience. Responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly, timely manner.

Qualifications

· High School diploma or GED. Equivalent combination of education/experience will be considered

· Must be eligible to work in the United States

· Must be 18 years of age or older as required by state law to serve alcoholic beverages

· Must have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system

· Must have food handler’s card and alcohol awareness training certification where required by state and local laws

Responsibilities:

Maintains a Guest focus while performing duties.

Assumes 100% responsibility for quality guests' experience.

Welcome and greet guests within two minutes of being seated.

Informs guests of specials and menu changes.

Offers specific beverage, appetizer, entre, and dessert recommendations either upon request or you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy.

Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services.

Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in our point-of-sale system before taking item to the table.

Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter.

Clean and prepare the table for the arrival of menu items.

Perform side work during each shift as required by service station assignment.

Complete opening and closing checklists.

Maintain clean and stocked service and dining areas.

Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service.

Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.

Provide proactive beverage refills

Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, and process through the POS system.

Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers before they ask.

Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.

Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.

Notify manager-on-duty any time a guest is not 100% satisfied with their experience

Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Host

Greets and welcomes guests upon arrival. Answers telephone, takes reservations and manages the efficient and timely seating of guests to a table providing menu and server information once seated. Manages special seating requests consistent with table seating guidelines and table availability. Relays guest seating and information to servers and bus persons. Oversees dining room activity to ensure guest seating efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Greets all guests warmly and with a smile upon their arrival and escorts them to a table, balancing the flow among the server stations.

Ensures table selection corresponds with proper rotation, customer seating preference and size of party.

Utilizes customer paging system when business dictates and as applicable.

Assists with seating requests when necessary and provides customers with clean menus.

Relays information to service staff, requests feedback from customers as to their experience and gives a final salutation upon exit from the restaurant.

Maintains a clean and organized station. Ensures the cleanliness of menus, and keeps necessary stock of pens, pencils, menus and other departmental supplies.

Promptly answers the phones with appropriate greeting.

Responds to guest inquiries related to operating hours, reservations, directions to restaurant or other.

Ensures backup coverage for host stand when necessary.

Completes all side work requirements prior, during and after shift.

Periodically checks restrooms for cleanliness and proper stocking of supplies.

Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the t-shirt cabinet and t-shirt storage area.

Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Server Assistant

Responsible for setting and cleaning tables, bar and lounge areas throughout the shift. Supports servers and service staff with drink refills and clearing tables. Assists with the setup of large parties and communicating which areas of the restaurant are ready to be seated in order to assure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

In accordance with companies service and cooking procedures:

Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the front of the house including all tables, chairs and floors.

Maintains cleanliness and organization of service and bus station(s). Refills stock bottles and keeps them thoroughly cleaned prior, during and after shift.

Communicates and assists hosts to set up and break down tables as customer requests are received.

Refills soda, ice teas, and waters upon the request of the customer or server.

Removes dirty dishes, silverware and any debris from tables between courses and after customer leaves table. Returns dirty dishes, silverware, and glassware carefully to dishwashing and/or bar area.

Checks restrooms on a routine schedule to maintain cleanliness. Reports any restroom problems to management immediately.

Assists with spills throughout the restaurant to assure customer safety.

Leaves restaurant in a clean condition prior to end of shift.

Assists customers with inquiries or as needed.

Removes trash and breaks down boxes for the bar and restaurant.

Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Qualifications:

Experience and Education:

Competencies, Knowledge and Skills:

Customer Service: Must possess excellent customer service skills. Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism when interacting with guests and dealing with guest complaints. Ability to monitor and anticipate guests’ needs and respond accordingly in an effort to maintain a positive and enjoyable dining experience. Outgoing personality and friendly disposition highly desirable.

Physical Demands: Must be able to perform a variety of physical activities including, but not limited to, standing for long periods of time, climbing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping and lifting up to 55 lbs. Ability to carry and lift cookware (pots, pans, etc) containing hot or cool foods and liquids. Ability to use sharp knives and cooking utensils. Must be able to use cleaning compounds and cleaning products. Must be able carry large bins filled with dishes, silverware and other eating utensils. Ability to work with a variety of restaurant lounge and/or bar equipment and tools.

Shift Flexibility: Must be able to work different shifts, including holidays, nights and weekends. Must be able to work overtime as required.
