Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate for this position will have up to five years experience as an Inventory Specialist with SAP and purchasing experience. Some management background is a plus!The primary function of this position is to facilitate the establishment of a productive, high performing, and safety conscious Storeroom and Materials Planning Process. The major areas of responsibility are to facilitate the Storeroom personnel, coordination of the Materials Planning Process, and ensuring that key functional Storeroom processes adhere to standardized procedures. Successful incumbent will be knowledgeable about maintenance and production department needs and trends, formulating short and long term objectives to ensure quality and continuity of the supply chain while minimizing total cost of ownership. Insures quality of services and seeks input from customers and management to improve services and meet customer needs.RequirementsQualifications for this position include a four year degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or related field combined with a minimum of 2 years experience in purchasing and storerooms. Previous experience in shipping/warehouse operations and supervisory/facilitation a must. The incumbent must possess solid interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize workload based on peak times. The Storeroom Facilitator will adhere to appropriate handling, storage, and safety requirements of stored products. Must be able to operate storeroom equipment. The incumbent mustpossess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and be detailed oriented in keeping accurate records.The Storeroom Facilitator must be proficient using a computer and software applications. Familiarity with management systems a plus. Must be able to gather facts, report on them objectively, and apply problem solving techniques accordingly.
