Our 103,000 colleagues serve people in more than 160 countries.Working under broad supervision, provides Inventory Control Strategy, Vision, and Leadership for the Operations Inventory Control function, which includes all material movements, inventory transactions, and associated staff. Responsibility for improvements in productivity and risk reduction through all areas of the Operations Inventory Control function.Main Responsibilities

Provides overall Operations Inventory Control Development and Support: Continuously improve the Operations Inventory Control function in concert with cross functional peers in Value Streams and Supply Chain; Development and continuous improvement of Inventory Control performance metrics; Support Manufacturing Capacity Planning & Execution; Support On-Time Delivery; Support Manufacturing Lead Time Reduction; and Employee Development and Morale.

Manages department budget: Departmental Cost Center Expense Control; and Capital Requirements Planning & Execution.

Develops Inventory Control improvement strategies based on the business goals and aligned with Lean Manufacturing principles and in compliance to FDA and all other applicable agency regulations.

Develops the initiatives that support company cost reduction and performance improvement goals.

Leads and coaches the Inventory Control Team in development of the plans and tactics that will meet improvement goals.

Develops budgets and manages expenses and capital needs for the area.

Works closely with engineering, procurement, customer support, product support, sales and marketing, finance and other functional organizations to meet or exceed customer requirements.

Hires and retains a diverse, highly qualified staff and provides ongoing performance feedback. Maintains a safe and professional work environment.

Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.

Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

QualificationsBachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in Warehouse/Manufacturing environment required (medical preferred). or an equivalent combination of education and work experienceAbility to learn, train, and follow good manufacturing practices (FDA/GMP's) and other applicable regulatory standards (i.e., ISO9000) and ensure operational compliance.Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model preferred. Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment. Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results. Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment. Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization. Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner. Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable.
