Responsible for providing financial analysis and preparing analysis of results for lines of business.Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:Works with management to provide decision support analysis.Conducts and documents complex financial and business related analyses and research fields including financial and expense performance.Focuses on business improvement initiatives and leads and directs projects.Requires ability to work in cross-functional teams.Provides guidance to less experienced financial consultants.Financial Consultant is responsible for reviewing and preparing interpretation of historical financial data, financial projections, and results. Performs consulting services to support business development studies, economic evaluation, and planning functions.Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:Identifies complex financial problems or issues, researches solutions, and implements corrective steps to achieve higher level of efficiency.Advises management of various financial models and recommendations.Prepares complex presentations.Prepares financial planning, financial section of annual and quarterly reports to stakeholders, applicable government reports, and budget reports. Is used as a resource by staff or outside departments.Trains and reviews the work of lower level Financial Analysts.Financial Consultant Senior Qualifications:Requires a BS/BA in accounting or financeAt least 5 years budgeting, forecasting and accounting financial reporting experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.MBA, CPA, CMA, FSA, and/or CFA preferred.Medicare experience highly valued.Financial Consultant Qualifications:Requires a BS/BA in accounting or finance3-5 years experience in general accounting, finance, or budget and planning; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
