Writers Needed For Local Kids and Parents Site (Portland, OR)

Hello! We are looking to build a new website, OregonKid.com. We want to be the online resource for all things families in Oregon; the goal is to provide family-focused editorial and local events relevant to both parents and children. What to do with the kids? What events are coming? Where to eat with the kiddos? What places to travel to as a family? What classes should your children take? These ideas, along with parenting tips in general, are what we would need.

If you are interested in writing for us, shoot us a note. Tell us a little about yourself! What would you like to write about? We would love to have people who would be willing to write one column a week. That's really the only commitment. If you need a break, take a break! Although there is no pay at this time, I'm hopeful we can get the site large enough to make that a reality and get some media exposure. We are building this from the ground up. Plus, we'll make sure to have outings to celebrate our accomplishments. This is really about having fun and helping families (I'm a father of two daughters sometimes, I have difficulty finding out what's out there).
