Accounting Associate (Chico)

Horton McNulty & Saeteurn, LLP has opportunities for a full-time Associate. HM&S launched in early 2019, and specializes in governmental and non-profit auditing and financial reporting. In addition to auditing and accounting services, a successful candidate will also have opportunities to gain tax knowledge for non-profits, businesses, and individuals, as well as to participate in other special accounting projects. Bring your foundational accounting knowledge and a desire for learning, and we will provide the on-the-job training and experience needed to be successful in your position and grow in the firm. In a friendly and supportive atmosphere, you will work directly with partners and experienced senior associates to:

x Learn best practices and technical skills

x Apply theories to real-world accounting situations

x Analyze financial records and reports

x Analyze and test internal control structure and recommend improvements

x Interact directly with clients

x Draft financial statements

x Perform research and form conclusions

x Prepare tax returns

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is detail-oriented and enjoys solving problems. A successful candidate needs to have strong communication and time-management skills and the ability to monitor and maintain responsibility for multiple tasks.
