Part Time Researcher at Shoe Testing Lab. Ideal for Masseuse/Trainer (Goleta)

Heeluxe is a world leader in shoe testing that is looking to add to our team of passionate scientists. We work with the biggest brands in footwear to accomplish one goal: to help make better shoes.

At our unique lab testers come in to perform the activities shoes are meant to do: running, hiking, walking, basketball, and more. Heeluxe tests all shoes, "from High Heels to Hiking boots" as we like to say. Our office is focused on innovating new ways to test footwear and all staff members are actively involved in this process.

We are currently hiring a part time Research Assistant. Responsibilities include:

-Data Collection and Data Entry for our Force Plate, Motion Capture, and In Shoe Pressure Sensor systems

-Instruct test participants on how to perform research activities

-Prepare lab for testing (organize shoes, set up paperwork, general cleaning of lab)

-Collaborate with other lab staff to determine key findings from research

-Participate in development of new test equipment

At Heeluxe's high energy environment, we value motivated and passionate individuals. Our testing style is unique and we will provide all training on our equipment and test methods. Ideal candidates for this position will have the following skill set:

-Interest in a field of science: Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Sports Performance, Personal Training, Massage, or Engineering

-Competency in all Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

-Experience in athletic competition

-Enjoys working in an open office environment with frequent interactions with other staff

-Interest in communicating with footwear brands about product improvements

-Love of all things shoe related!

The current position is for 12-20 hours/week. For our part time roles we've had great success with Massage Therapists and Personal Trainers that are looking to balance out their work week with consistent hours here at Heeluxe.
