SUMMARY
The Network Security Associate’s role, as part of the Security Team, is to ensure the security and integrity of in-house voice and data networks, to a SOC2 audit standards. This is achieved by participating in the planning, design, and development of local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization. This individual will analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where required.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
System patch management.
Review security scans, alerts, and network performance.
Troubleshoot problem areas as needed and mitigate security gaps.
Collaborate with IT and IS management to assess near- and long-term network concerns.
Review new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation.
Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information
Develop and maintain deployment diagrams and documentation
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and WWAN design and implementation.
Strong, hands-on technical knowledge of network and network operating systems.
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Fluency in English Language- Reading, written & spoken.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
University degree in information systems and/or 5 years equivalent work experience.
Knowledge or certifications in networking or enterprise class systems.
Valid Permanent Resident or citizen of the United States of America.
