TRAIN W OUR MACHINIST: Manual Machinist (No CNC) Needed Immediately (St. Thomas, USVI)

Position needs to be filled immediately- you will test/train with our current machinist. If you are not willing or able to relocate immediately- please do not apply!

Individual will be proficient at running manual mills and lathes. Primary work is with prop shafts, cutting tapers (inside and outside), threading ends. Must be able to set up and use taper attachments. Knowledge of threading and repair of threaded parts required. Individual will be familiar working with stainless steel, steel, aluminum, bronze, and plastics. Must be able to fabricate one off parts including cutting, bending, fitting and machining to shape and size. Knowledge and use of fabrication equipment: plasma cutter, shear, iron worker, metal rollers and bender, press-brake, saw horizontal and vertical necessary. Ability to weld is a plus. Bilingual a plus. Making bearings in bronze and plastics is common work. Primary job consists of supporting boat yard with whatever is needed. We also have the only operational machine shops on island. Walk in work is daily. Individual must be organized, pay attention to detail, work well as part of a team, and must be willing to relocate to St. Thomas, USVI as soon as possible.
