Grooming Technician ( Telecommunications Networks )

In order to provide extraordinary solutions to our customers, we need to work with extraordinary people to create and deliver them, people like you.We are seeking a Grooming Technician to support our client and their traffic migration and site exit program. The duration of this project is estimated at 6 months to 1 year. Most of the work can be done remotely. Some travel will be required.This is a remote position.Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

Pretest new logical circuit paths

Resolve design discrepancies with the Planner

Perform Remote Logical Grooms of Transport circuits from old to new paths

Validate grooms are successful with no outstanding alarms

De-provision old circuit path and ports

Pre-Wire for grooms to include:

Fiber

Coax

ABAM

CAT5

Labeling

Qualifications:

Circuit migrations experience a must

Working knowledge of DWDM, IP grooms, and provisioning

Experience working remote logical grooms of transport circuits

Excellent troubleshooting skills necessary

Comprehensive experience with wide variety of network equipment required
