< Job Description >

We are looking for commercial snow blowing/moving machine operators for the season performing semi-skilled manual tasks and operating automotive and maintenance equipment to perform winter road maintenance and snow/ice removal duties. (Summer work potentially available for those looking for full-time/full-year positions.) This position is an on-call or as needed throughout the winter months. The ideal candidate will be available on short notice for all snow events. If it snows, candidate must be there. The ideal candidate must safely and efficiently operate equipment and can effectively manage time without supervision.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and humid conditions, hot and/or cold conditions, or airborne particles. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat and vibration.

< Responsibilities >

Must safely, properly, and efficiently operate specialized vehicles, equipment and tools to perform snow removal duties

Be ready for duty when winter storms are possible

Identify and implement risk management techniques to reduce exposure to injury, damage, and liability.

Follow both verbal and written instructions and report operations both verbally or in written form.

Report any damages or other snow and ice management issues to Lawn King supervisor

< Qualifications >

Valid Driver's License

Clean driving history

Experience in snow removal (preferred, not required)

Extreme availability for on-call work

Be able to work safely and efficiently for extended periods of time at all hours of the day or night, and in all weather conditions

Be able to stand, walk, lift, reach, bend, and squat in the performance of job duties

Tolerant of frequent exposure to extreme weather conditions including cold, rain, and snow

Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision acuity, night vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust his or her focus, allowing a broad field of vision
