Private Golf Club seeks Banquet & A La Carte Servers (Dunwoody)

Dunwoody Country Club is currently seeking part-time servers, banquet servers, Men's Lounge Attendant and bartenders. These positions are paid an hourly wage; denote positions that wage is dependent of experience. Please no phone calls. Responsible for providing personal service, and orientating guests to the lounge, card room, and other areas as requested by guests. Keep the lounge areas neat, clean, and stocked with all amenities. Provide an excellent guest dining experience by preparing and serving alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages and food items. Ability to understand and communicate food and beverage selections, have a team focus mentality, adhere to club's standards of service, maintain a professional appearance and clean work environment, as well as, display a positive and friendly attitude. Responsible for using Hot Schedules to communicate with management.

Banquet Server $10-12/hr

Responsible for the setup, execution, and breakdown of events and other special functions. Must have good communication skills, be able to follow directions efficiently, and meet the physical demands of the job. Ability to understand and communicate food and beverage selections, have a team focus mentality, adhere to club's standards of service, maintain a professional appearance and clean work environment, as well as, display a positive and friendly attitude. Responsible for using Hot Schedules to communicate with management.Server $10-$14/hr

Responsible for serving all food and/or beverage items, as requested by membership and their guests, in a professional, knowledgeable, respectful and courteous manner. Ability to understand and communicate food and beverage selections, have a team focus mentality, adhere to club's standards of service, maintain a professional appearance and clean work environment, as well as, display a positive and friendly attitude. Responsible for using Hot Schedules to communicate with management.Bartender $10-$14/hr

Provide an excellent guest drinking experience by preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers' needs and expectations. Ability to understand and communicate food and beverage selections, have a team focus mentality, adhere to club's standards of service, maintain a professional appearance and clean work environment, as well as, display a positive and friendly attitude. Responsible for using Hot Schedules to communicate with management.

Job Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience / License / Qualifications:

Previous server experience in high volume restaurant/club; formal service preferred.

Excellent oral communication and listening skills.

Ability to follow directions and be coachable.

Excellent customer service skills.

Must speak, read, and write in English proficiently.

Physical Requirements

Ability to speak and hear.

Close and distance vision.

Identify and distinguish colors.

Frequent walking with some standing at times.

Will walk for long periods of time, possibly extended distances.

Occasionally lifts/carries up to 50 lbs.

Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.

Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly.

Working Conditions

May be indoor or outdoor setting depending on outlet.

Varied weather conditions are expected.

May work near toxic/caustic chemicals and with fumes or airborne particles.

Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates. Mandatory holidays include: July 4th, Easter, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, Charity Weekend (Typically third week of August), Member Guest (Typically Second Week in September), Santa Brunches (First Two Sundays in December) & New Year's Eve.

Dunwoody Country Club was founded in 1969 and is a private, member-owned, full service club located in Dunwoody, Georgia. Club facilities include an 18-hole championship golf course with full practice facility, 14 outdoor tennis courts, pool complex with snack bar, separate tennis clubhouse with banquet facility, Ballroom (seating up to 400), Private Wing (seating 20, 30, and 50), Recently Renovated Mixed Grill (seating 200), Men's Lounge, Halfway House, and Wellness Center. DCC is a very family friendly club and has gross revenues of $12 million including $4 million in Food and Beverage operating Tuesday through Sunday. A recent $10 million renovation to existing wellness, halfway house, men's lounge, and golf shop has been completed.
