Job Description SummaryReporting to a Fixed Assets team leader, this position is responsible for supporting a mix of large and small business units. This includes preparing and posting various monthly fixed assets transactions and setting WBS elements as well as assisting in performing the monthly Fixed Assets reconciliation. Preparation of the monthly, quarterly and year end reports to support the Fixed Assets Module. The ideal candidate will also prepare the capital spending reports to the stakeholders as well as generating ad-hoc reports requested by various businesses.Job DescriptionResponsibilities include but are not limited to:

Prepare monthly Fixed Assets reconciliation to General Ledger for all type of assets.

This positions will be responsible for posting all transactional activities and general ledger entries related to fixed assets into the ERP system.

Prepare the supporting documentation for CAS (client assistance schedule) for external and internal audit and SOX testing, and special projects.

A person in this position is responsible for assisting with preparation of Fixed Assets schedules for annual tax packages for various legal entities, effectively communicating with the Tax department and General Accounting on any discrepancies to ensure the accuracy of the provided data and the Tax bonus depreciation tables.

Accountant will be responsible in updating department procedures, process maps, templates and other documentation related to continuous process improvement.

This position is responsible to interact and communicate with the respective business units in order to facilitate any special operating and/or reporting requirements.

Responsible for maintaining the Fixed Assets module according to GAAP accounting and company Financial Policy.

Coordinate training of Fixed Asset and Genpact the team members including but not limited to plants and business areas and prepare training materials as necessary.

Facilitate meetings between plants, business areas and Corporate Accounting to discuss the operational and procedural issues and questions.

Education:

BS/BA Degree in Finance and/or Accounting

Required Experience:

3-5 years’ experience in General Ledger

Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Strong analytical / problem solving skills

Solid communication and interpersonal skills

Superior customer service skills

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

Fixed Assets and Capital Projects experience is a plus

Tax Preparation experience a plus

Hyperion experience a plus

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Proven process/continuous improvement experience

Direct experience in SAP 4.0 and/or 6.0 preferred

Experience working in a regional shared service environment preferred
