Join us.Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Director, Diversity & Inclusion will lead, inspire, and develop a diversity strategy that fosters a culture of Inclusion at Samsung Electronics America.The Director will partner closely with Talent Acquisition and HRBP leaders to implement a strategy to increase attraction, promotion and development of diverse candidates into mid-level and senior management roles. S/he will lead the governance, practice and management of Samsung Electronics America's diversity programs as well as create a D&I community through the leadership of Employee Resource Groups, HR organization, extended networks and the executive community to enable innovative solutions and impact. The Director has the opportunity to create pilots for D&I initiatives, drive D&I engagement and develop D&I best practices. This role will drive Inclusive Leadership through the development of company/regional/functional action plans for diversity and inclusion - work with local stakeholders to develop regional/functional strategies, partner with Talent Analytics to utilize metrics for stakeholder adoption, benchmarking enhancements, and continuous improvements. The Director will promote a culture of inclusion through communication and engagement, in alignment with company strategic priorities and goals.The Director will lead or participate in cross-functional opportunities related to external benchmarking, communication and external commitments. Aligning Diversity & Inclusion Strategy and building Diversity & Inclusion capability in their respective organizations, spanning workplace, marketplace, community and partnersThe Director will have project management oversight for all D&I project and programs. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for proposing and manage HR training needs as well as the broader organization. This individual will provide inspirational leadership and invest in the performance, careers and the development of two direct reports, the Academy community, the ERG community, D&I project leads across HR, and their extended teams and matrixed partners.Key Responsibilities Include:

Design, execute and measure Samsung Electronics America’s D&I strategy

Gather, analyze and leverage data to identify opportunities for growth

Promote and drive adoption of inclusive practices, establish key initiatives, and communicate insights & recommendations to Executive Leadership

Establish mechanisms to measure, track, and report on diversity metrics

Drive leadership awareness, commitment and accountability for the employee experience and diversity action plans across the business

Partner with Communications to regularly communicate internal and external diversity and inclusion initiatives, events and progress

Develop and implement innovative, strategic solutions to enrich Samsung Electronics America’s company culture and make it more inclusive

Partner with key stakeholders regarding external D&I and employer brand

Be a consistent voice of diversity and inclusion during key culture Leader Self Awareness Assessments (e.g. SELF, DiSC, Diversity assessment tools)

Provide coaching or training workshops based on self-awareness assessments and or behaviors

Lead Train-the Trainer program to activate people across the company

Launch mentorship program and provide executive coaching for managers

Create Connection and Meaningful Conversations

Courageous Conversations/Coffee Chats

Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion

Recruitment strategies that support the attraction, assessment and selection of diverse talent while creating a meaningful experience.Skills and Qualifications Has broad expertise or unique knowledge, uses skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways Actively solves complicated issues by analyzing situations or data even if it seems like there is no solution Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments May supervise the activities of others Generally requires a minimum 12 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree, or 10 years and a Master's degree, or a PhD with 7 years experience
