The Loading Dock Worker is a critical part of Bell Nursery’s logistics operation. A Loading Dock Worker is responsible for working within the Distribution Center to unload incoming product and appropriately reload and route delivery trucks from a distribution center. This is a physically demanding job that will keep even the most physically active person in great shape. Our Distribution Centers are tight knit teams that work hard together. Tasks and Responsibilities

Unload/organize items in correct areas

Pull/prepare orders for delivery

Locate the correct items through site or UPC tags.

Apply correct signage to carts.

Perform other non-daily tasks as needed

Skills & Competencies

Accuracy in recordkeeping and in sorting, checking, counting, and verifying items received.

Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced team environment.

Ability to work effectively and in a cohesive team atmosphere with all areas

Must be able to work in a safety aware environment

Ability to follow direction

Forklift certification (optional/desired)

Bilingual (optional/desired)

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.

Ability to withstand exposure to varying weather conditions and temperatures in warehouse and on loading dock.

Candidate must be able to bend, pull and lift 50 lbs. consistently throughout the course of a work day

Must be able to climb ladders, use a pallet jack

Strong work ethic

Ability to pull and or push rolling carts

Proven history of punctuality

Access to reliable transportation

Basic math skills

Must have good dexterity skills
